Badshah and Honey Singh used to work together in the same band named as “Mafia Mundeer”.This band has delivered many hit songs like Gabru, Haye Mera Dil, Glassi, Get Up Jawani, Siftaan and many more. The band performed last time in 2012. Apart from Honey Singh and Badshah, Mafia Mundeer consisted of Raftaar, Ikka, and Lil’ Golu.

 Badshah breaks silence on rift with Honey Singh

In an interview with Raj Shamani Badshah called Honey singh “Self Centered”.He said:     Mafia Mundeer was a thought, and like-minded people got together. Primarily it was just me and Honey. In 2009, there was a break between me and Honey. I used to do a job and I was very scared. Honey was also off my radar and when I tried calling him, he dodged my calls. But till the time we were in Mafia Mundeer, we never met. If we had met, maybe things would have been different.”

Badshah back then used to do a job and was scared, while Honey was focused on his own career. Badshah mentioned that he and Honey made songs that were never released as latter was concentrating on his solo career.Badshah parents were worried as he was associated with the band for so long and there was no release .He was associated with the band since 2006 .Later in 2011 finally his first song with Honey Singh gcam3e out titled ‘Get Up Jawani’.

Those five years were very tough and transformed Badshah. He said that Honey should have considered their songs too. Every member of band left everything behind for music .He added that on the one hand, Honey called them his brother ..and on the other failed to acknowledge their struggles.  He revealed that Honey even made them sign blank papers, and wonders what happened to those contracts..
